The AI assistant in Practice
What the assistant does, how usage is counted in points, and where to start
Last updated:
The AI assistant is a tool inside Practice that helps with six tasks, and everything it produces is a draft that you review before relying on it.
What it does
- Summarise a document: the parties, key points, deadlines and amounts.
- Summarise a matter from its data in Practice.
- Ask about the matter: answers from one matter's file and names the source of each fact (details).
- Draft a document: a memorandum, letter, notice or free-form document, saved as a Word file.
- Legal research in official Saudi sources only (details).
- Hearing notes from dictation with tasks and the next hearing.
Where to find it
- The AI assistant button in the side menu: the research page, questions and My recent requests log.
- On a matter page: Summary, Ask and Draft (not shown to accountants).
- On a document page: Summarise the document.
- In the hearings section: Notes from dictation.
How it is counted
Usage is measured in points. Each feature has an estimate up front, and a meter shows what you have left. The subscription is an add-on to Solo or Firm, and the firm gets a free trial first. Only the owner accepts the data terms and subscribes.
