Send an invoice to the client: PDF, email and the client portal
Print or save an invoice as PDF, email a summary (owner only) and what the client sees in their portal.
Last updated:
After you issue the invoice, the sharing buttons are at the top of its page. Never send a draft to the client; the page warns "Do not send it to the client before issuing."
PDF or print
- Press Print / PDF.
- In the print dialog choose "Save as PDF" (or print on paper). The page is laid out for A4 and shows Arabic and English together.
- Send the file to the client however you prefer (WhatsApp, your own email…).
XML file
The XML file button downloads the file generated for the invoice (the link is valid for a few minutes). It is for archiving or whoever asks for it, and it is not a copy approved by the authority; see ZATCA status.
Email to client is available to the owner only. It sends a summary to the client's email: document number, date, total, VAT, balance, due date and IBAN. It has no attachment and no payment link. If the client has no email the button is disabled and shows "Client has no email". Practice asks you to confirm before sending.
Client portal
If you enabled the client portal for the client, they will see their issued invoices (never drafts) and the payments recorded on them, together with the firm's IBAN for transfer.
