Import contacts from a CSV file
Move your clients in from Excel or Google Sheets: column mapping, preview and what gets skipped.
Last updated:
If your client list lives in Excel or Google Sheets, save it as CSV and import it in one go.
Steps
- On Clients press Import CSV.
- Press Choose a file and select your CSV. The row count appears.
- Under Column mapping, match each column in your file to a field: Arabic name, English name, Mobile, WhatsApp, Email, ID / CR number, City, Job title, Notes. Choose — ignore — for columns you do not need. The name column is required.
- Under Defaults for every row pick the Type and Role applied to all rows.
- Check Preview (first 10 rows) and press Import.
The result reads like: "Imported 40 · skipped 3 duplicates · 2 invalid rows".
What is skipped?
- A row whose mobile, ID or email matches an existing contact (or an earlier row in the file) counts as a duplicate and is not imported.
- A row without a valid name (at least 2 characters) counts as invalid.
Limits
- Up to 2000 rows at a time, otherwise you see "The maximum is 2000 rows at a time".
- On the Free plan the page shows how many of the 25 slots are left; only that many rows are imported and the rest are skipped, with a message explaining why. Upgrade to import the rest.
