What happens to my data when I go back to Free?
Your data stays, but you can't add beyond the Free limits and some sections are locked.
Last updated:
When a paid subscription ends (cancellation or non-payment) the firm goes back to the Free plan. Your data is not deleted. What you created earlier stays as it is and you can read it.
What changes
- The limits return: 5 open matters, 25 contacts, 500 MB, 3 generated documents and 3 invoices a month, and one intake form.
- No additions beyond the limit: if you have, say, 40 open matters they stay visible, but you can't open a new one (or reopen a closed one) until the count drops under 5 or you upgrade.
- Sections locked on Free: the trust ledger, reports and the ZATCA connection show with an invitation to upgrade.
- Users: Free has room for one user. Your existing members aren't removed automatically, but you can't invite or reactivate members.
- Directory listing: the Premium listing perks the plan gave are removed (unless your listing has its own separate subscription).
What to do
- Upgrade again: everything comes back immediately, including what you built.
- Or get under the limits yourself: close finished matters and archive contacts you don't need.
