The audit log: who did what and when
How to read the firm's audit log, which events are recorded, and who can see it.
Last updated:
The audit log records every important change in the firm: who did it and when. Only the Owner and Partners see it, under Settings, then Audit log.
Columns
- When: in the firm's time zone (from Settings).
- By: the actor's name, or System for automatic events.
- Action: a description of the event.
- Item: the item type and a short id.
- Details: the value before (−) and after (+) the change. Shown on wide screens.
30 entries per page with Previous and Next, newest first.
Example events
Firm created, firm details updated, logo changed, a member invited, an invitation resent or revoked, a member joined, a role changed, a member deactivated or reactivated. Billing, subscription and other important operations are logged too; an event without a ready description shows its technical name as is.
