Add a hearing to a matter

Record a hearing date in Hijri or Gregorian with the court, circuit and attending lawyer so reminders reach you.

Last updated:

A hearing is added to a matter. It then appears on the calendar and in your "Coming up for me" summary, and reminders reach the people involved (reminders).

From the matter page

  1. Open the matter and go to Hearings.
  2. Press Add hearing.
  3. Set the Hearing date in the Hijri or Gregorian calendar; the other follows automatically (details).
  4. Enter the Time (Riyadh) in 24-hour form such as 09:30, and an optional End time.
  5. Choose the Attendance: In person, Remote (Najiz), Written submissions.
  6. Fill in Court and Circuit (taken from the matter if left empty), Location or meeting link, and Purpose (for example, first session, exchange of memoranda, judgment).
  7. Choose the Attending lawyer, then Save. You see Hearing saved.

From the calendar

On Calendar press Add hearing, then Choose a matter and fill in the same fields. The button shows when you have matters and your role allows editing.

What happens after saving?

  • The attending lawyer, if not you, gets a notification and an email, and is added to the matter's team automatically.
  • Reminders go out 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before, and on the morning of the hearing.

To edit, cancel or delete a hearing use its buttons in the section: Edit, Cancel hearing, Delete. After the hearing takes place, record its result.
