Getting started

What is Practice (Mktabi) and when do you need it?

A workspace for matters, clients, documents and invoices, free with your listing within limits.

Last updated:

Practice (Mktabi) is a workspace separate from the directory for running your office: matters and hearings, clients and the leads pipeline, documents and templates, time and VAT invoices, and a portal for your clients.

How it differs from the directory

  • Directory: your public face, seen by clients looking for a lawyer.
  • Practice: your private internal tools. Matter and client data is never shown to visitors.

How to open it

  1. From the lawyer dashboard press Mktabi — office management (the button shows when the workspace is available for your account), or open Practice directly.
  2. If you don't have an office yet you'll see the form to create one; invitations from an office appear on the same page.

Free limits

The workspace comes free with every listing within limits: one user, 5 open matters, 25 contacts, 500 MB, and 3 generated documents and 3 invoices a month. The Solo and Firm plans remove these limits. Details in Plans.
