Payment failed or the plan wasn't applied after paying

Fixes for a declined card, delayed activation, “past due” status, and what happens to your listing.

Card declined during payment

  • Check the details, balance and that online payments are enabled with your bank, then try another card or Apple Pay.
  • “Couldn't start the payment” or “Online payment isn't enabled yet”: a temporary fault or a feature not yet open; try again later and contact us if it persists.

I paid but the plan didn't change

  1. Wait a few minutes and refresh the lawyer dashboard; the plan updates after Stripe's confirmation arrives.
  2. Make sure the payment completed (Stripe's email) and that you signed in with the same account.
  3. For a Practice subscription confirm “Subscribed successfully” and the subscription status on the billing page.
  4. For Top placement your listing must have been claimed in your name at payment time.
  5. If it still says Free contact us with the payment receipt and office name.

“Past due” status

It appears when the last payment couldn't be collected. In Practice the workspace keeps working and a warning shows; update the card from Manage billing to avoid interruption. For a Top placement subscription the listing's plan may return to Free until payment succeeds.
