Writing your bio and tagline
How to write your bio, what the “draft bio” label means, how to remove it, and character limits.
Last updated:
The Profile section of the listing editor has two main fields.
Short tagline
One line shown under your name (up to 120 characters), e.g. “Lawyer and legal consultant in commercial and labour cases”.
Bio
- Up to 4000 characters. Separate paragraphs with a blank line.
- Mention your experience, qualifications, the types of cases you handle and working languages.
- The text is shown as you write it; no formatting is needed.
What is the “draft bio”?
When your office is first listed we generate a bio from public data, so your page and dashboard show a “draft bio” notice. The label disappears as soon as you change the text and save. If you leave the text unchanged the label stays.
Other fields in this section
- Year established: a number between 1950 and 2030.
- Lawyer: “Office / not specified”, “male lawyer” or “female lawyer”.
- Languages: Arabic and/or English.
