Deadlines: add and track them

Record a matter deadline manually or from a statutory rule, track its status and get alerted before it passes.

Last updated:

A deadline is the last day for a step in a matter (filing a pleading, an objection, a reply…). Missing it can forfeit a right, so record and track it.

Add a deadline

  1. Open the matter and the Statutory deadlines section.
  2. Press Add deadline and choose how:
    • Manual: enter the Title (for example, Last day to file the objection) and the Due date.
    • From a statutory rule: choose the Rule and the Start date and the date is computed (the helper).
  3. Choose the Responsible member, add Notes, then Save. You see Deadline saved.

If you pick no one it is assigned to the matter's responsible lawyer, otherwise to you.

Statuses

Open, Done, Missed, Cancelled. On an open deadline use Done when finished, or Missed or Cancel. You can also Reopen.

Each deadline shows a counter such as "Tomorrow", "In 5 days" or "2 days overdue".

Alerts

  • Reminders go out 7, 3 and 1 days before and on the morning of the day (details).
  • An open deadline past its date becomes Missed automatically and you get a "Deadline missed" notification.
  • The deadline falls due at the end of the due day (Riyadh time), so it is not counted missed before the next morning.
  • If you change the date, reminders restart and a Missed deadline goes back to open.

The deadline also shows on the calendar, in red as it gets close.
